PhotoReading successes from around the world!
PhotoReading is making such an impact that success stories are coming in from right around the world. Here’s just some of the letters that Paul Scheele, the developer of PhotoReading, has received.
“I used PhotoReading to become a specialist in rheumatology and physiotherapy.”
I had thousands of pages to study one month before the critical exam. I PhotoRead and activated every day, and I mind mapped the rheumatology textbook.
When I took the written test, I both knew and felt the correct answers. My score was the second highest. I also did very well in the three-day, practical part of the medical exam, and was the top student on the oral exam.
All through this exam I felt as if I was prompted from the inside of me. I didn’t know which book the information came from and nor did I see the pages in my mind. the thoughts simply came into my mind. It was wonderful.
Ildiko Kiss, M.D, Zalaegerszeg, Hungary
“What used to take me two hours, I can now do in ten minutes.”
As a tax consultant, I use PhotoReading to slash the time it takes to dig information from the 33-volume IRS code. I find the section I want in the index. then I PhotoRead that section — 30-40 pages. Immediately the answers appeared to jump off the page.
Fred Fredricks, Hong Kong
“I PhotoRead a ‘how to’ book, and then I followed its steps automatically with ease.”
I was eager to learn a new process from a book, but I couldn’t get it to work for me. then I learned PhotoReading and PhotoRead this book.
Two days later I dreamed that the author sat beside me and guided me through the process. After that, I was able to follow the process without thinking.
I don’t know exactly how PhotoReading directs my other-than-conscious mind, but it does. It has transformed how I process information.
Deborah Fink, Boulder, Colorado
I am amazed at how Photo-Reading activates the power of my other-than-conscious mind.
When I finished PhotoReading a book by Francisco Varela, I was drawn to a book in my library by Paul Watzlawick that I had read five years ago.
I opened the book to the very page that held a synthesis of the other book! On another day I PhotoRead the first volume of the Complete Works of Sigmund Freud. When finished I started a book by Rafael Echevria. I was struck by the artwork on the cover.
Later I had the thought that the engraving was also in the Freud book on page 528. I was right! And, there I found the connection between Freud and Echeveria.
Beatriz Ces, Buenos Aires, Argentina
“I got a 100% salary increase.”
After learning PhotoReading, I lowered my reading backlog by 40 books in the next 28 days. I applied the PhotoReading techniques to a business presentation and got a job offer with a 100% salary increase.
Joan JimÈnez, General Council of Education, Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico
PhotoReading’s child’s play
Peter Barka from Surbiton is still getting great results with PhotoReading. You may remember from Issue 4 that he got 95% for an Open University essay he wrote on Freud.
Peter’s wife gave birth to their first child, Benjamin, on January 13, so Peter started the Open University’s Child Development module as part of his Psychology degree. “I’ve been PhotoReading some of the volumes of texts for the course, then I read the next essay question and let my mind mull it over for a few days. then I sit down and write the essay. This seems to produce the best results. the PhotoReading whole mind system just keeps on working.”
PhotoReading improves people’s performance at work
An accountant attended a continuing education seminar for her profession. Since she arrived early, she had the luxury of reviewing the handout materials before the presentation. Entering the PhotoFocus state she quietly and quickly reviewed the materials. As the day progresses she releases she had a firm grasp of the subject even though she had not previously studied it. She attributes the immediate comprehension of the material to having PhotoRead the handouts.
the president of a family trucking company attended an executive MBA program at the pace of 14 credit hours a semester. This program was designed for executives and met on a full day once a week. Whilst most of the participants spent 20 hours a week with homework, he averaged about seven hours using the PhotoReading whole mind system — yet out-performed most of his fellow students.
A new employee attended a meeting on the first day of her job. She had spent a few minutes PhotoReading reports before the meeting and contributed to the conversation as if she had been working there forever. “the meeting was an activation of the materials. I don’t know who was more surprised, me or my new co-workers.”

A Public Relations specialist found himself in a toy store after learning to PhotoRead. He said, “I became very playful after learning PhotoReading.”
A bookkeeper said her ability to manipulate data in spreadsheets increased significantly. She found it easier to remember the programming commands and to detect errors.
PhotoReading helps in the creative arts too…
An actress is better able to memorise her lines by PhotoReading the script by PhotoReading the script first. She also says this helps create a better understanding of her characters.
A mystery writer PhotoRead dozens of mystery books to assimilate styles, techniques, dialogues, descriptions, etc. Immediately his writing flowed more easily. He began sending the first or second drafts of chapters to his agent instead of his usual fifth or sixth draft.
Make the most of hobbies and interests
A PhotoReader PhotoRead 23 books of Shakespeare over a several week period hoping to build a foundation so that he could appreciate Shakespeare. then he sat back with one of Shakespeare’s plays. For the first time in his life he understood why so many people have enjoyed Shakespeare’s work. He found the play easier to read, fascinating, and enjoyable.
An amateur chef found himself creating delicious new recipes after PhotoReading his library of cook books.
A Home-brewer PhotoRead a new book on beer-making. That night he dreamed of a new recipe which he later tried. It turned out to be his best batch yet.A PhotoReader needed to jump start his car but could not remember the procedure. He had a “do-it-yourself” manual that he had PhotoRead months before. When he opened the book he instantly turned to the exact page that described the procedure.
A gardener found it easier to recognise plants after Photo-Reading a guide.
A new home-owner PhotoRead all the home-improvements books he could find. Friends who helped him on his projects were amazed at how much he knew and began calling him for advise.
Two friends read novels in front of the fireplace during the evenings while on a skiing vacation. the PhotoReader read five novels in the time the other read one.
PhotoReading in education
A high school English teacher used the PhotoReading whole mind system to prepare for an American literature unit on Hemingway. She PhotoRead all the commentaries on Hemingway’s writing, plus all the books he wrote including the two the class unit would cover. In addition, she Rapid Read the two books. She surprised herself as the material activated spontaneously during her lectures. Her knowledge of the subject contained such rich examples giving the class depth that surpassed any unit she had ever taught.
A 13-year-old PhotoRead his mum’s college text book hoping to help her with her homework. He immediately understood the problem. His mum then pleaded to learn PhotoReading.
A 17 year-old high school student disliked reading. Now she reads more than ever before. “It’s turned my life around.”
A young man working in a low paying job dropped out of a masters program because he was barely pulling a C-. His family and commitment to the army reserves left little time for studying. He went back to school after learning PhotoReading and finished his Masters program six months ahead of the schedule set by the school.
“I’m ahead in my reading list and now enjoy revising!” says student
Suzanne Ponder, a student, rang us to tell us how useful PhotoReading has been to her in her studies at Edinburgh University. She is in her first year of a degree course in Psychology/Philosophy. She then wrote the following letter to us…
“My experience with the PhotoReading Whole Mind System has improved my studies greatly. I have now been PhotoReading for almost three months, and it has enabled me to keep ahead of my (substantial!) reading list and has given me enough time to cover a lot of background reading also.
“As well as using PhotoReading in this way, I preview and PhotoRead lecture material before going to bed. then when I attend lectures the following day, I find it is much easier to grasp key concepts and to integrate themes in the course, and this has made recent exam revision an enjoyable experience. Rather than ‘cramming’ as I have done in the past, re-reading lecture notes and course material is a positive experience, as I realise how much of the course I already know and understand. It has changed my attitude to learning and studying, and it is all thanks to PhotoReading.
“With regard to my presentation which I prepared for my tutorial group some weeks ago, I found that the PhotoReading course helped immensely. Because of the amount of reading I was able to do beforehand due to the speed at which I could cover the material, I was able to research the topic, ‘psychological egoism’ in great depth. This allowed me to give a more confident presentation than if I had read only a few books. I was only given one week to prepare for the tutorial! If I had read the course material in the normal way, the books would have taken me a month to read!
“One other point I would like to make about the PhotoReading course is that because of the depth of reading I am able to do (using the ‘synoptic’ system), I am able to produce much more well-rounded arguments, incorporating all views on a given subject. I find that using this depth of reading it is much easier to formulate my own original viewpoint rather than reiterating the ‘usual texts’! For this reason alone I would recommend PhotoReading to anyone who is involved in the writing of essays, reports or critiques.
“A psychology text which I have successfully PhotoRead is “Beginning Psychology” by Malcolm Hardy and Steven Hayes. This is a very good introductory text to the subject of psychology and lays a firm foundation for the future ‘heavier weight’ texts which make up the course reading.
“Finally, please feel free to use my name and town in the “BookBlaster” newsletter. Please also feel free to quote any part of this letter which you feel you can use. I cannot express how much thanks I have for LifeTools for bringing me this PhotoReading Course!!”
— Suzanne Ponder, Edinburgh

Sceptic becomes believer!
Dr Michael Bennett at the University of Minnesota is one of the few experts on reading skills in the world.
He was originally sceptical about the possibility of PhotoReading, but thought it could possibly work. After being consulted by a television company for the news feature mentioned in Issue 4 of BookBlaster, he took the plunge and learned to PhotoRead himself. This is what he now says:
“PhotoReading combines all the most efficient reading strategies — proven in university studies over many years — with what is now known about the phenomenal perceptive capabilities of the human brain.
“It is undoubtedly the best accelerative reading improvement program available today. And, it is presented so that the average person can benefit immediately, and for a lifetime.”
